The company was founded by Ransom Olds in 1897.
General Motors purchased the company in 1908
At the time of its closure in 2004, Oldsmobile was the oldest surviving American automobile marque and one of the oldest in the world.
I am a retired Information Technology Project Manager located in Santa Monica, California. I’ve loved photography and started taking photos in the late 1970s. With a full time, job, I had little time to enjoy my passion for photography. I will shoot anything (with Canon or Sony) that produces an emotional reaction. I'm self-taught and began to take my photography seriously in 2006. Retirement has given me an opportunity to follow my grandson and shoot photos of him playing basketball and having some of my photos published in sport magazines.
