The sun setting beyond Malibu at the tip of Point Dume with the Santa Monica Mountains in the distance.
It’s an unusual evening with the visibility being so clear with a sky full of heavy clouds.
The brightness and intensity of the sun was hard on the eyes. This capture is a good representation of the actual view.
Another beautiful sunset over Santa Monica Bay.

About Gene Parks
I am a retired Information Technology Project Manager located in Santa Monica, California. I’ve loved photography and started taking photos in the late 1970s. With a full time, job, I had little time to enjoy my passion for photography. I will shoot anything (with Canon or Sony) that produces an emotional reaction. I'm self-taught and began to take my photography seriously in 2006. Retirement has given me an opportunity to follow my grandson and shoot photos of him playing basketball and having some of my photos published in sport magazines.
