A lone duck searching for food in Malibu Lagoon.
The Malibu Lagoon and Wetlands is a 31-acre shallow water estuary at the mouth of Malibu Creek where it flows into the Pacific Ocean. Here the creek pools up to form Malibu Lagoon with small islands and sandbar.
The Lagoon is home and seasonal stop over for 200 plus birds depending on the season.
The Santa Monica skyline is seen in the background 11 miles away.
