About Gene Parks
I am a retired Information Technology Project Manager located in Santa Monica, California. I’ve loved photography and started taking photos in the late 1970s. With a full time, job, I had little time to enjoy my passion for photography. I will shoot anything (with Canon or Sony) that produces an emotional reaction. I'm self-taught and began to take my photography seriously in 2006. Retirement has given me an opportunity to follow my grandson and shoot photos of him playing basketball and having some of my photos published in sport magazines. Oh, my goodness, Gene, do I relate to this....Early days at Coney Island, in between days a few trips to CA coasts from San Bernardino, many mid life trips to Cape Cod and the eastern seacoast....but lately just missing that due to family responsibilities..Maybe this summer. Thank you for the vicarious visit to this beautiful place!
